Welcome to Bolton’s Premier Dog Training School

At Dog School, we take a "Whole Dog Approach". This means that we like to start from the beginning with each case, to ensure that each dog and owner are enabled to communicate more effectively, and to develop new skills to provide for their future relationship, once they move on from Dog School. This principle (which we call “Dog Diplomacy”) is the foundation of our business and it is not something we are prepared to compromise.

The result of attempting to stick a "band aid" over a specific problem is that the problem either returns, or is promptly replaced with an alternative issue, because the source of the issue has not been dealt with. We much prefer to teach people how they can live in harmony with their pet, whilst taking a leadership role, because when this harmony is achieved, individual behavioural issues begin to melt away for good. Conversely, we have found that dogs who attend training classes on a week to week basis, don’t benefit from those classes unless their owner/handler is properly educated and is able to practice "Dog Diplomacy" between classes.

For most dogs, group training classes will be a suitable solution, however, if your dog suffers from issues in the home, or aggression issues, we can tailor a 1-to-1 training plan. Please use the links above to navigate the site, where you can find full details of our dog training services, including the cost, and you can also seek support and advice from like-minded dog owners via our free discussion forum.
